SUMMARY OF RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

Physiological and pharmacological studies of abnormal movements during sleep: bruxism (teeth grinding and clenching), myoclonus, torticollis and periodic limb movement. 

Psychophysical and pharmacological studies of pain perception during sleep and while awake.

Study of the factors influencing vigilance in chronic pain sufferers: assessment with a driving simulator and neuropsychological tests. 

Modulation of mastication by certain peptides in animals during sleep and while awake.
