Yves Dion, M.D.

After his studies in Medicine at Université Laval (1973), Dr. Yves Dion received training in psychiatry at McGill University (1978). Dr. Dion is presently associated with the Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry of the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM). His research focuses on the genetics of Tourette syndrome (TS); neuro-imaging and pharmacological treatment of the disease. He took part in different research projects on psychopharmacology including a double-blind study on the treatment of TS with Risperidone. He is a member of the Tourette Syndrome Association International Consortium for Genetics and is expert clinician for the Montreal Tourette Syndrome Study Group. An important part of this research concentrates on the genetics of TS in the French-Canadian population.
